Together for a Better Environment Project

Partner: Icon Media Project Duration: 2 years Implementation Locations: Aswan, Fayoum, Alexandria, Suez, and Cairo General Objective: To build environmental awareness, particularly regarding climate change issues and responsible consumption, among 120 parents and 120 children aged 9 to 12 years, through: - Conducting workshops in each of the targeted governorates. Each workshop lasts 3 days and is divided into two parts: a theoretical part and a practical, applied part. The theoretical part focuses on building awareness among the participants and engaging them in an academic and educational component about the environment, climate, and methods for responsible consumption and environmental conservation. The practical part involves implementing clean-up and tree-planting campaigns, such as: a campaign to clean the Nile in Aswan, a clean-up campaign at Wadi Degla Protected Area in Cairo, a campaign to clean some of Alexandria's beaches, a tree-planting campaign in Suez, and a tree-planting campaign in Fayoum.
