Learning for employment in collaboration with the Sawiris Foundation.

This project aims at the social, educational, and economic empowerment of the targeted families. This project consists of four phases: The first phase focuses on enrolling beneficiaries in literacy classes and enabling them to read and write through an educational methodology based on text and dialogue. This approach aims to build their awareness of the importance of education and other issues that concern them by involving them in developing the curriculum used in the classes. This allows us to address some of the problems that are a priority for them, such as high prices, poverty, harmful health practices imposed by customs and traditions, and the lack of official documents. This curriculum is called (The Learner Creates Their Own Curriculum). The second phase focuses on training male and female graduates in community empowerment methods and vocational skills suitable for the job market, such as mobile phone and satellite dish repair, air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance, automatic washing machine repair, hairdressing skills, and sewing. Graduates are then provided with tools and equipment to enable them to start working immediately after graduation. The third phase involves training outstanding graduates in project management skills, entrepreneurship, financial management, feasibility studies, and other skills necessary for managing projects. The fourth phase involves providing loans for small projects using a revolving loan system to ensure financial sustainability and benefit a larger number of beneficiaries.

Together to support our youth - in collaboration with the Diocese of Services and Icon Media Company: Training on social media skills and documentary filmmaking.

This project was implemented in Cairo and focused on supporting young people to improve their economic situation through vocational training in social media skills and documentary filmmaking, which are relevant to current market needs. It also included activities to build economic awareness and entrepreneurship skills. The role of Good News was in the field implementation, for which they received compensation from Media House. The first phase was completed, and the second phase was implemented in August 2016, in collaboration with Tear Fund.

Democracy is on the way, in collaboration with Media House.

The Democracy on the Way project was implemented in Cairo and focused on developing a curriculum on community participation consisting of 12 lessons to explain concepts such as equality between boys and girls, accountability, social responsibility, the constitution, freedom, and acceptance of differences. Twelve short films were produced to illustrate these concepts, and the films were used as visual aids in awareness-building workshops. This project was carried out in collaboration with Embrace the Middle East.

Comprehensive development of Ezbet Khair Allah

This project aims to achieve comprehensive development in the region. It focused on implementing activities in the health and environmental fields, concentrating on improving the infrastructure of the village, including roofs, bathrooms, and sewage systems. It also included classes to raise health awareness, improve reproductive health, and combat female genital mutilation. The project also implemented activities in the educational field, such as literacy classes for men and women, as well as tutoring and simplified science classes for primary school students to reduce dropout rates. Furthermore, the project focused on raising the economic level of the targeted families through vocational training and providing loans for small-scale projects, in addition to seminars and training sessions to build economic awareness. It also established nurseries for children aged 2 to 6 years, a children's club, and campaigns promoting children's rights. The project had a vision for sustainability. Committees were formed from local leaders and trained over six years in specialized areas such as health, environment, economic development, education, and child and maternal health, enabling them to implement development activities and ensure the project's continuity.
