Starting introductory meetings for the project to enhance citizenship values

The Good News Association for Educational and Research Services held a number of introductory meetings for the project to enhance citizenship values in Minya Governorate. The meetings included introducing participants to the project to enhance citizenship values and the most important main activities in the project during the coming period within the villages. The role of the community committee was also reviewed, visiting some of the NGOs in the village, learning about their activities, and conducting interviews for candidates for the position of citizenship project coordinator according to a number of standards. The meetings were attended by a group of local community representatives from all different groups (young people and the elderly / men / women / Christians / Muslims), taking into account the geographical representation of these groups within the community so that representatives of the entire community in its various groups participate. The project to enhance citizenship values comes in partnership with the Ministry of Social Solidarity (the Fund to Support Projects, Associations and Civil Foundations).

Bags were delivered to each family at their home to protect them from going out and being exposed to any infection and to preserve their dignity.

The “Your Education Achieves Your Dreams project aims to eradicate the illiteracy of 2,000 women in Minya

Within the framework of the Your Knowledge Achieves Your Dreamsâ project, which is funded by the Good News Association and the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, a meeting was held with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Solidarity in Minya Governorate, and a number of leaders of the Directorate and the Adult Education Authority, to discuss ways of cooperation in the project. The meeting began by welcoming the attendees, and presenting a summary of the project™s objectives, the target group, and ways to reach them. The project aims to eradicate the illiteracy of 2,000 women who are beneficiaries of Takaful and Karama, empower them socially, and support the life values of their children. The meeting also included meeting with a number of heads of social solidarity units in the targeted villages within Minya Governorate.

The Good News Association held a party for its employees to celebrate the return of the General Director of the Association, Ms. Maryam Ibrahim, after a severe health illness. Ms. Maryam welcomed all the employees, and stressed that the past period was difficult, and we were able to overcome it with minimal losses, and we look forward to the return of work activity in the coming period in light of the state’s trend towards gradual openness. The General Manager continued that despite the challenges of working from home, this period gained us new skills, rearranged our life and professional priorities, brought family members closer together, and facilitated electronic communication between the work team.
