– Partner: ABT Food for the Future – Irathe Contract Date: June 22, 2022 General Objective: To develop the horticultural crops sector and improve competitiveness in agricultural processing. To enhance the capabilities of smallholder farmers and workers in the field of smart agriculture, recycle agricultural waste, and mitigate environmental pollution and climate change. Project Duration: From June 22, 2022, to July 31, 2024, and may be renewed for another period by written agreement between the two parties. Project Beneficiaries: Smallholder farmers - farmers' wives - producers and institutions working in the field of high-value crops. Implementation Locations: Beni Ahmed Al-Sharqiya and Akaka villages – Minya Center – Minya Governorate. - Project Activities: - Awareness-raising meetings for smallholder farmers and quality improvement. - Training for women on home gardening. - Training for women on how to conduct a project feasibility study and then implement small projects. Number of Beneficiaries: 265 women and 100 men
