- Partner: Virgin Mary Coptic Orthodox Foundation for Care and Development - Contract Date: September 23, 2016 - Project Duration: 14 months, from September 23, 2016 to November 22, 2017 - Project Location: Al-Matariya Children's Hospital – Al-Matariya District – Cairo - Project Objectives: To improve and develop the pediatric intensive care unit at Al-Matariya Teaching Children's Hospital with the aim of accommodating a larger number of sick children through: - Vaccination against pneumonia for 1000 children aged 6 months to 5 years, and also vaccination against gastroenteritis for children aged 2 to 6 months. - Health awareness sessions for 1200 family members on protecting children from various infections and diseases. - Total number of beneficiaries of the project: 1000 children receiving vaccinations against pneumonia and gastroenteritis (aged 2 months to 5 years) and 1200 women and girls. The total number of beneficiaries of the project is 2200 children and mothers.
