A youth trip within “Promoting Citizenship Values†in Minya
The Good News Association for Educational and Research Services carried out a trip for young people to the city of Al-Bahnasa in Beni Mazar in Minya Governorate, as part of the activities of the project to promote the values and practices of citizenship. 35 girls and boys from Minya participated in the trip, and the trip program included a number of cultural and sporting activities, and a visit to some archaeological areas such as the Ali Al-Jammam Mosque, the Maryam Tree in which Maryam took shade during the Holy Family’s trip, and a visit to Al-Hassan bin Saleh Mosque, the great-great-grandson of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted, and saw the remains of some underground churches and the Abu Samra minaret, in addition to visiting the Shrine of the Seven Girls. The trip also included presenting a development session on managing emotions and self-expression. This comes within the framework of the project “Promoting the Values and Practices of Citizenship in Minya Governorate,†which is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Social Solidarity (the National Associations Support Fund). The protocol aims to enhance the values and practices of citizenship in Minya Governorate, as the project includes implementing several social, economic, and cultural activities and interventions to spread the values. Tolerance and acceptance of others, targeting all segments of society, including community leaders, youth, women, and children.
