Projects
Learning for employment in collaboration with the Sawiris Foundation.
This project aims at the social, educational, and economic empowerment of the targeted families. This project consists of four phases: The first phase focuses on enrolling beneficiaries in literacy classes and enabling them to read and write through an educational methodology based on text and dialogue. This approach aims to build their awareness of the importance of education and other issues that concern them by involving them in developing the curriculum used in the classes. This allows us to address some of the problems that are a priority for them, such as high prices, poverty, harmful health practices imposed by customs and traditions, and the lack of official documents. This curriculum is called (The Learner Creates Their Own Curriculum). The second phase focuses on training male and female graduates in community empowerment methods and vocational skills suitable for the job market, such as mobile phone and satellite dish repair, air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance, automatic washing machine repair, hairdressing skills, and sewing. Graduates are then provided with tools and equipment to enable them to start working immediately after graduation. The third phase involves training outstanding graduates in project management skills, entrepreneurship, financial management, feasibility studies, and other skills necessary for managing projects. The fourth phase involves providing loans for small projects using a revolving loan system to ensure financial sustainability and benefit a larger number of beneficiaries.
